Holistic Nutrition Therapy by Well-Choices is a personalized approach to nutrition education and intervention that utilizes DNA Analysis, Biomarker Testing, Personality Assessments, Lifestyle, and Health History to develop comprehensive nutrition and wellness plans.

Holistic Nutrition Therapy focuses on consuming a balanced diet from healthy whole foods sources, including protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates, to support energy levels, maintain stable blood sugar, optimize health, and achieve fitness and wellness goals. Holistic Nutrition Therapy emphasizes the importance of digestive health and gut microbiome to reduce inflammation, improve nutrient absorption, and support overall well-being.

In addition to addressing physical nutrition, Holistic Nutrition Therapy recognizes the impact of mental and emotional health on overall well-being; the program addresses issues such as stress and emotional eating, as well as activity and exercise as part of the holistic approach to health optimization.

The app is designed to provide personalized nutrition support, connecting you with an expert dietitian who will guide you based on your goals, health history, and lifestyle. Features include:

  • 1:1 Dietitian Support: Unlimited messaging and video sessions with your nutritionist.
  • AI Health Coach: Instant insights and recommendations for optimizing your diet and lifestyle.
  • Food Journaling: Track your meals easily using AI image capture, barcode scanning, and macronutrient tracking.
  • Custom Meal Plans: Dietitian-curated meal plans tailored to your dietary preferences and goals.
  • Lab Testing & Analysis: Order and share lab results to gain deeper insights into your health.
  • Challenges & Education: Join health challenges and access expert-reviewed articles and videos.

Account Management

To create an account, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Holistic Nutrition Therapy App from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Open the app and tap Sign Up.
  3. Enter your email address and create a password or create an account using a social login. 
  4. Enter your nutritionists invite code or click the button to choose a subscription and receive your code. 

Yes, the Holistic Nutrition Therapy App requires a subscription.

The app is included in all One-on-One Nutrition Counseling Plans and an app only subscription is available. 

If you forget your password:

  1. On the login screen, tap Forgot Password.
  2. Enter your registered email address and tap Submit.
  3. Check your email for a password reset link.
  4. Follow the link to create a new password and log in.

To manage your subscription or update your payment method:

  1. Go to Profile > Manage My Account
  2. You will be redirected to the billing portal when you can login with your email address by receiving a one-time passcode.
  3. If you do not receive the one-time access code via email within 5 minutes, check your spam folder.
  4. Once inside the billing portal you can upgrade, downgrade, pause or cancel your subscription, and update your payment method. 

Yes! You can use your account on multiple devices. Simply log in with your credentials on any compatible smartphone or tablet. Your data is securely synced across devices.

Profile & Personalization

Your profile helps personalize your experience in the Holistic Nutrition Therapy App. To set it up:

  1. Open the app and go to Profile in the side menu.
  2. Add your profile picture.
  3. Enter your name, date of birth, and gender.
  4. Save your settings to complete your profile.

Your nutrition plan is tailored to your personal needs, and you can customize your daily intake goals:

  1. Go to Profile > Health Goals.
  2. Set your daily calorie goal.
  3. Adjust your macronutrient targets (protein, carbohydrates, fats).
  4. Set your hydration goal for optimal wellness.
  5. Save your changes, and your meal plan and recommendations will update accordingly.

🔹 Tip: If you’re unsure about your ideal macronutrient breakdown, consult your nutritionist for personalized guidance.

AI Health Coach

The AI Health Coach is a smart assistant designed to provide instant, science-backed insights to help you optimize your nutrition and lifestyle. 
✔️ Personalized nutrition tips
✔️ Meal suggestions based on your dietary preferences
✔️ Macro and micronutrient insights
✔️ Supplement recommendations
✔️ Lifestyle guidance for better sleep, stress management, and energy levels

The AI Health Coach can answer questions such as:

  • “What’s a high-protein snack I can eat before my workout?”
  • “How can I improve my gut health with diet?”
  • “What foods can help balance my hormones?”
  • “How do I adjust my macros for weight loss?”
  • “What are good sources of iron for a vegetarian?”

The AI provides educational insights based on research but does not replace professional medical or nutritional advice. Always consult your nutritionist for specific health concerns.

My Nutritionist

The Holistic Nutrition Therapy App provides direct access to your personal dietitian through:
✔️ Unlimited messaging – Ask questions anytime and get expert responses.
✔️ Video consultations – Schedule face-to-face sessions for deeper discussions.
✔️ Meal & progress feedback – Your dietitian can review your food logs and provide personalized recommendations.

It depends on your goals and progress, but we recommend:

  • Daily or weekly messaging for ongoing guidance.
  • Weekly, Biweekly or monthly video consultations to establish action plans, review progress and make adjustments.
  • Food log reviews at least once a week to receive feedback.

🔹 Tip: The more engaged you are, the more personalized your nutrition plan will be!

  1. Open the My Nutritionist section in the app.
  2. Tap Schedule Appointment.
  3. Select an available time slot.
  4. Confirm your appointment.
  5. You will receive a notification and email reminder before your session.

🔹 Note: If you need to reschedule or cancel, do so at least 24 hours in advance to free up availability for other clients.

Yes! If you’d like to work with a different nutritionist, email support@well-choices.com and we will help match you up with the best nutritionist to help you accomplish your goals!

My Data

Connect your wearable device to track activity, steps, and more:

Apple Users (iOS)
● Open the Apple Health app.
● Go to Settings > Apps > Holistic Nutrition Therapy and allow necessary
permissions.


Android Users
● If you use Google Fit: Open Google Fit > Settings > Manage Connected Apps
and enable Holistic Nutrition Therapy.
● If you use Health Connect: Open Health Connect > App Permissions > Enable
Holistic Nutrition Therapy.
Once connected, your activity data will sync automatically with the app

The Holistic Nutrition Therapy App syncs with Apple Health, Google Health, most wearable fitness trackers, and CGMs to track:

✔️ Sleep

✔️ Weight & body fat percentage
✔️ Heart rate
✔️ Blood pressure
✔️ Blood glucose levels (from CGMs)

Currently, data is pulled in through wearable fitness trackers and the mobile phone’s health app (Apple Health or Google Health). Once connected, data updates automatically in the app.

🔹 Future Update: Soon, you will be able to manually enter your health metrics directly in the Holistic Nutrition Therapy App.

Your health data can be sorted and analyzed by:

  • Day – View daily trends and fluctuations.
  • Week – Identify short-term patterns.
  • Month – Track long-term progress.
  • Year – See overall trends and improvements.

Yes! Your nutritionist has access to all your synced health data and can:
✔️ Monitor trends to make personalized recommendations.
✔️ Adjust meal plans and goals based on your progress.
✔️ Identify potential issues with metabolism, recovery, or stress.

🔹 Tip: The more data you sync, the more insightful and customized your nutrition plan will be!

Food Journaling

Food journaling helps track your daily intake, identify patterns, and improve nutrition. It allows you to log meals, monitor calorie and nutrient intake, and stay accountable to your health goals.

  • Select the meal category (Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, Dinner, or Water) by tapping the “+” next to the category name.
  • Tap “Create Meal.”
  • Using either the image capture, barcode scanner, text input or voice to text. Simply type or say what you ate in simple terms, and the AI interface will take care of the rest. 
  • Click “Calculate Nutrients”
  • Add a Meal Name 
  • Once your meal is complete, tap “Save Meal.”
  • To save the meal for future use, tap the heart icon to add it to your Favorite Meals.

Meal Plans

Your meal plan is designed by your nutritionist and tailored to your goals, preferences, and dietary needs. To access your plan:

  1. Open the Meal Plans section in the app.
  2. View your current weekly meal plan, organized by breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
  3. Tap on any meal to see ingredients, portion sizes, and preparation instructions.

🔹 Tip: Your meal plan updates weekly, so check it regularly!

Your meal plan is created by our dietitians specifically for you. If you do not yet have a meal plan and would like one- Message your nutritionist and request a meal plan.

You can save your favorites meals with the star icon.

You can request changes at any time by placing the request with your nutritionist or filling out a change request form.

Labs

The Holistic Nutrition Therapy App allows you to order lab tests to gain deeper insights into your health. To order a test:

  1. Go to the Labs section in the app.
  2. Browse available lab tests (e.g., gut health, hormone balance, micronutrient deficiencies).
  3. Select the test you want and tap Order Test.

🔹 Note: Some tests require a blood draw at a local lab, while others may be at-home collection kits with instructions provided.

We offer a variety of functional and diagnostic tests, including:
✔️ Gut microbiome analysis – Identifies gut bacteria imbalances.
✔️ Hormone panel – Checks estrogen, testosterone, cortisol, and more.
✔️ Metabolic panel – Assesses blood sugar, cholesterol, and liver function.
✔️ Micronutrient test – Evaluates vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
✔️ Food sensitivity testing – Identifies potential food intolerances.
✔️ Inflammation markers – Helps assess chronic inflammation levels.

🔹 Tip: Your nutritionist can help you decide which tests are most relevant based on your health goals.

Lab results, from labs ordered through Well-Choices will be automatically available for your nutritionist. If you’ve completed tests outside the app, you can manually upload results for your dietitian to review.

  1. Go to the Labs section.
  2. Name the lab upload
  3. Select the file you wish to share.
  4. Click Upload Lab

Yes! Once your results are available, your nutritionist will:
✔️ Explain your lab findings and what they mean for your health.
✔️ Adjust your meal plan based on nutrient deficiencies or imbalances.
✔️ Recommend supplements if needed.
✔️ Suggest lifestyle modifications to optimize your metabolism, digestion, and overall wellness.

Supplements

Yes! Your dietitian and the AI Health Coach can recommend supplements based on:
✔️ Your health goals (e.g., energy, gut health, muscle recovery)
✔️ Nutrient deficiencies identified through lab results
✔️ Dietary gaps (e.g., plant-based diets lacking B12 or omega-3s)
✔️ Specific conditions (e.g., hormonal balance, immune support)

Yes! The app provides access to high-quality, third-party-tested supplements. To purchase:

  1. Go to the Supplements section. You will be redirected to our online supplement store powered by Fullscript. 
  2. Members receive a 10% Discount on all Supplements
  3. Browse recommended supplements or search for a specific product.
  4. Tap Order Now, and follow the checkout process.
  5. Your supplements will be shipped directly to you.
